Sandy River Delta Dog Park in Portland

Dog owners who live in or have visited the city of Portland, Oregon agree that the Sandy River Delta dog park is one of the best features the area has to offer. The location, which includes 1,400 acres, is a dedicated dog park that spans territory between the Sandy River and I-84. Parking is much easier to find thanks to a recent renovation project, which improved parking lots, restrooms and dog clean up bag stations.

While visiting the Sandy River Delta dog park, visitors should keep in mind that the area is not fenced in. It is large enough that the lack of a fence should not be an issue, provided the dog will heed a recall and has undergone basic obedience training.
